Attorney Cole D. Ruby Gets Client Released on Appeal in Drug Case
Our client was previously convicted, via jury, on 5 counts of cocaine delivery and an additional count of heroin delivery.
Attorney Ruby’s investigation uncovered text messages potentially exonerating our client. We were able to secure a new trial for our client based on the State’s failure to disclose this exculpatory evidence, newly discovered evidence, and ineffective assistance of counsel.
The prosecutor conceded the motions and agreed to reopen and dismiss the cocaine charges and give time-served on the heroin charge, clearing the way for our client’s release.
